How to Install Presets for Topaz Video AI

Topaz Video AI is one of the most powerful editing tools when it comes to AI video enhancement. It’s a great option for those looking to upscale their videos to 2K, 4K, and even 8K+. However, finding the best settings to use can be a bit cumbersome, especially when you factor in the time it takes for each test video to render!

Fortunately, that’s where presets come in – these can help save a ton of time when it comes to finding the best settings to use. A preset is simply a .json file which the Topaz Video AI software can read and set the settings accordingly, without any manual adjustment involved.

There are a range of presets out there that allow you to quickly apply specific settings and filters to enhance your videos. You can find a few decent ones posted over on the Topaz Labs forum. Here’s how you can install and use presets in Topaz Video AI:

Installing Presets

  1. Download the Preset Files: First, you need to obtain the preset files you want to install. These are typically provided as .json files and can often be found on places like the official Topaz Forum, Reddit, etc.
  2. Locate the Presets Folder: The Presets folder is located at “%programdata%\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Video AI\presets” (e.g., C:\ProgramData\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz Video AI\presets).
