Firecrawl is a web data API that turns messy websites into clean, LLM-ready content, so your AI app or agent doesn’t have to wrestle with raw HTML. You can search the web, scrape a single page, crawl a whole site, or interact with pages by clicking, typing and navigating. Results come back as tidy markdown, JSON, screenshots or structured data that matches a schema you define. Getting started is simple: sign up, grab an API key, and call it through the Python, Node.js, Go, Rust, Java or Elixir SDKs, the REST API or the CLI. It also has an official MCP server, so tools like Claude, Cursor and Windsurf can use it directly.
There’s a free plan with 1,000 credits a month and no card needed, which is plenty for testing. Keep in mind that JSON extraction and similar extras cost additional credits. Paid plans offer more credits and features, scaling up to high-volume and enterprise tiers, with optional pay-as-you-go top-ups if you run out. Firecrawl is also open source, so you can self-host it if you prefer.
