ego lite

ego (lite) is a Chromium-based browser built for sharing your logged-in browser state with your AI agents, like Codex or Claude Code, without disturbing you. Instead of driving pages one tool call at a time the way frameworks like Playwright or Puppeteer do, it lets agents run several actions in a single JavaScript snippet, which the developers claim finishes complex automation tasks up to 3.45x faster and on fewer tokens.

To use it, you install ego (lite) on a Mac, migrate over your existing Chrome bookmarks, passwords, extensions, and cookies in one click, and then install the “ego-browser” skill so any agent that can run shell commands can take over browser tasks. The browser also features “Spaces,” which are a separate workspace inside the same browser where the agent works independently without touching your open tabs, so you can keep using the browser normally while it runs tasks like posting to social media, checking bookings, or navigating SaaS dashboards in the background.
