Kino Transcode is a free, browser-based video converter built for footage that most everyday tools can’t open, including Blackmagic RAW (.braw), RED R3D, ProRes, DNxHR/DNxHD and MXF files. Everything is processed locally in your browser tab, so your clips never get uploaded anywhere and you don’t need an account. To use it, drop one clip or a whole batch onto the page, preview the footage (you can set in and out points if you only want a section,) then choose H.264 MP4 for a universal file or ProRes MOV if you’re passing it on to another editor, along with your preferred size and quality. There’s built-in sample footage if you want to test it first, and the tool is completely free to use.
