Citation Finder by CiteTrue is an AI-powered research tool that helps students, researchers, and writers find academic sources for their claims. Paste text from a draft, and the tool splits it into sections and searches for relevant scholarly papers. Results focus on real, peer-reviewed sources with verifiable DOIs, helping users support their writing with authentic references and reduce the risk of AI-hallucinated citations. Citation Finder runs in the browser and is part of CiteTrue’s suite of academic writing and citation tools.
CiteTrue’s Citation Finder uses a credit-based freemium model: most citation checks cost 1 credit (tricky ones up to 5). The Free plan gives 30 credits per day, while paid subscriptions give monthly allowances for increased usage. Separate one-off credit packs are also available.
