Resend is an email platform that works just as well for AI agents as it does for human developers. Its main AI draw is a hosted MCP server, which lets agents like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Zed or Warp send emails, manage contacts and pull delivery logs without you writing any integration code. It also plays nicely with AI app builders such as Lovable, Replit, Bolt and v0, where you can paste in an API key and have your generated app sending email in minutes – personal agents like OpenClaw can be given their own inbox too.
To get started, create a Resend account, grab an API key and install the plugin or MCP server in your tool of choice. It’s a good idea to keep your first agent in test mode, so you can see what it tries to send before any real emails go out. The free plan covers 3,000 emails a month (up to 100 a day), and paid plans start at $20 a month for 50,000 emails.
