Emochi is an AI character chat app built around roleplay, with a library of over a million characters you can talk to, many inspired by anime, games and everyday scenarios like roommates, rivals or fantasy heroes. You can start without much setup: browse the Explore page, filter by genre tags such as romance, comedy or supernatural, open a character and begin chatting straight away. If nothing catches your eye, you can even build your own character with a custom personality and backstory.
The platform is free to start, with a basic plan that gives you two chat models plus a small daily allowance of voice messages and smart replies, though ads show up and some extras are capped. Paid Plus and Ultra tiers remove the ads and add premium models, longer memory and higher limits. Emochi is also available on iOS and Android.
