OpenAI’s GPT-3 is the 3rd generation of OpenAI’s advanced deep learning text generator tool. GPT-3 has been used to create articles, poetry, stories, news reports and dialogue using just a small amount of input text that can be used to produce large amounts of quality copy. GPT-3 is not open-source, it runs on OpenAI’s API which is extremely costly. It is, however, free to use for personal use over on OpenAI’s playground. Upon creating a new account you’ll be credited with $18.00 to use within the playground section, this is only valid for your first month then afterwards you will unfortunately have to pay for more usage.
How Does GPT-3 Describe Itself?
Here’s an interesting summary of the tool, written by itself!
GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3) is an advanced natural language processing (NLP) model developed by OpenAI and released in June 2020. It is a large-scale language model that uses deep learning to produce human-like text. GPT-3 is capable of generating human-like text without any explicit programming in a variety of tasks such as question-answering, summarization, translation, and more. Its best features include its ability to generate text with very little data, its scalability, and its ability to be fine-tuned to existing tasks.
